DIY Coconut body butter & Satin hands scrub

Week Two

So this week I decided to do two being they both are super simple. First on the list is The satin hands scrub. Just add sugar to your jar of choice then add Dawn dish soap the kind with the Olay soft hands its a pink color and smells amazing. Just add enough soap to make it a thick paste like consistency. I would have taken a pic but couldn't do two things at once. So my boyfriend was my first tester to this. He had been out in the garage and came into the house full of car grease just at the right time. So he scrubbed his hand with it begrudgingly with tons of protest but it worked great. Took all the muck right off his hands. The next night when he came in from the garage he used it on his own! Next on the list is coconut body butter. I guess I am the last person to know all the great things you can do with coconut oil. As soon as I seen body butter in the first few words they had me! The best part about this is it only takes one ingredient. Yes you heard me right just one. So all you need is coconut oil. I got mine from the cooking isle at Walmart. Some people might want to order there's online whatever works best for you. First I just heated mine up just a tad to loosen it from the jar. Coconut oil melts at 76 degrees. I put the whole jar into my mixing bowl and set up my mixer to whip it. Again didn't take any pics due to needing my hands to work. I whipped this for about 7 to 8 minutes. It will be on the fluffy side. Then just place in a cute mason jar. I love this stuff and so glad I found all the great uses for coconut oil. Now this body butter will melt with contact to your skin so a little goes a long way. I made this on Monday, have used it all week and noticed a huge difference in my skin. I will never go back to regular lotion.
